DGene is creating bold, new types of imagery through its pioneering approach to volumetric capture. This technology opens exciting possibilities for VR, AR, and XR experiences and countless other applications. Volumetric video allows the viewer to move around and interact with characters in a perfectly natural way. It pushes past the limits of conventional two- and three-dimensional media into the next generation of content creation.

Object Scan

Using the same technology as volumetric capture, small scale objects, can quickly be digitally reproduced at high resolution.

Capture Stage Specifications

  • Dimensions: 26ft diameter x 14ft height

  • Capture region is 7ft x 7ft x 7ft

  • 84 cameras (60 RGB and 24 IR)

  • Frame rate up to 75fps

  • 3 microphones for audio

  • Output is 20M+ point clouds and sequence of up to 1M triangle meshes with 4k textures

  • Proprietary compression technology offers up to a 20:1 ratio

  • SDK for Windows (DirectX), Mac OS and iOS (Swift and OpenGL), Android, Unity, and Unreal Engine
